About DGRO

DGRO tracks the Morningstar US Dividend Growth Index, which looks for companies with at least five years of uninterrupted dividend growth and screens out payers whose dividends look stretched compared with their earnings. The highest-yielding names are left out as well.

With close to 400 holdings, DGRO is one of the broadest dividend growth funds available. Financials, technology, health care, consumer staples and industrials make up most of the portfolio, so it sits between a pure dividend fund and the overall market.

It costs very little to own and pays quarterly. The shorter five-year growth requirement, compared with VIG's ten, lets DGRO include companies earlier in their dividend growth story.
